I have been using credit cards for a long time. Credit cards can be a great source for one's comfort and ease in purchasing goods if the transactions are made caefully. I recently got catalogues with my credit ard paymet online. Hope even you will love to get the free catalogues.

No creditor would issue you a credit card.

I don't see the purpose of a prepaid credit card since they are essentially gift certificates.

I would opt for a debit card. Some banks have student/youth rates or discounts or "decent" interest rates.

I agree with a few of the responses here; when I was 18 years ago (10 years ago) :-p -- I went out and got a secured card through Bank of America. This means that you pay $200, they give you a $200 credit card and after about 6 months, you will get your money back. This eliminates the risk for new credit applicants. After you've completed the 6 months, you shouldnt have a problem obtaining unsecured credit cards
